SUMMARY

Upgrade desktops and laptops to Windows 10 2009. Some machines will require RAM upgrade.

ESSENTIAL DESKTOP DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Depending on hardware, utilize Microsoft Deployment Toolkit for re-imaging current stock to Windows 10 v2009 otherwise USB offline imaging methods
• Assist users with data migration via cloud or USB methods
• Install software per approved software list
• Identifies problems, conducts research, isolates issues and provides solutions to software and hardware problems
• Support users locally and remotely using remote software
• Tracks inventory of hardware and software as required
• Provide verbal and written weekly status reports to manager
• Must travel to all Forest Lawn locations when required

QUALIFICATIONS

This important position reports directly to the Technology Services Operations Manager.  Ideal candidate is organized, motivated, goal oriented and familiar with PC hardware and software troubleshooting and problem diagnostics. Requires strong communication and interpersonal skills.  Excellent writing skills are required for the development of clear and well-documented procedures.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and /or ability required.  Individual must have a valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stoop, kneel, crouch, climb or crawl.  The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Windows 10 Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) preferred:
• Minimum 2-5 years PC support experience in Windows Professional environments:
• Ability to troubleshoot Dell, HP, Apple PC/MAC/Laptop hardware to component level:
• Proven experience in Windows 10 imaging and deployment including post deployment support:
• Active Directory Knowledge:
• Experience in RAM and HDD physical upgrades:
• Experience and knowledge of: Microsoft Windows 10 365, Microsoft Office 2016 – O365, Microsoft
• Exchange/Outlook, Browsers, Adobe Products, Remoting Tools, Endpoint Antivirus Tools, VPN Clients, Helpdesk Ticketing Systems:
• Knowledge of creating bootable media (Rufus / Windows PE):
• Experience working in mission critical support environment:
• Solid customer service and phone skills essential:
• Consistent punctuality to work schedule is essential:
