SALARY: Depending on experience.  In addition, there’s a quarterly performance bonus.

Position

The Operations Manager (Ops Mgr.) is responsible for the day-to-day operations of all three facilities (Castaic, Zakar at the Mojave Desert, and Colorado). When training camps, tours, and events are scheduled and sold, the guest experience team and the business office will confirm each participant. It’s the Ops Mgr.’s role to ensure that every facet of the camp is prepared and ready for guest, coach, and staff participation from arrival to departure. The Ops Mgr must be highly organized, efficient, and effective, from fully operational and available motorcycles to supplies and support vehicles available for tours to entertainment at client events. Advanced preparation, planning, resource allocation, and execution of a pre-determined budget will be critical aspects of this role.

Reporting to the Company’s General Manager (GM), the Ops Mgr. is one of five critical functional leads in the company. As such, a highly collaborative candidate will work diligently with peers in sales, guest experience, coaching, the bike tech, and the business office to ensure a seamless handoff of critical responsibilities. Most of the training, tours and events are scheduled on weekends, so the flexibility of hours, availability of the right individual based on the needs of the Company, and a heart of service will be essential ingredients of success. In addition, demonstrated trust, integrity, and prudent decision-making are a must in this critical function.

Furthermore, the Ops Mgr. will support the guest experience working with onsite chefs to prepare, serve, and clean up all meals. Due to extreme temperature changes, the Castaic location (northern Los Angeles) will move motorcycles and support vehicles to Colorado at the beginning of June and return by mid-September. It’s expected that the Ops Mgr. will maintain and upkeep all vehicles, motorcycles, and transport resources between California and Colorado locations.

EXPECTATIONS OF THE ROLE

The Ops Mgr. role will encompass the following realm of responsibilities:

• Own the utmost professional operations of all three facilities, including repairs, maintenance, and upgrades
• Work diligently with the Business office to budget necessary maintenance and upgrades
• Ensure smooth and consistent operational readiness for all Training, Tour, and Events at all three facilities
• Support guest experience with meal prep, serving, and clean up
• Proactively lead all transportation and logistics requirements
• Manage and maintain all operational supplies at all three facilities, including inventory, utilization, and reordering through the Business office
• Work closely with Sales, Guest Experience, and Coaching to ensure proactive and anticipated operational requirements
• Maintain and upkeep all vehicles, bikes, and transport needs
• Coach and mentor other functions as to operational best practices
• Recommend transformation of Opps from cost to a revenue center
