JOB OVERVIEW

The purpose of the Technologist (L3) / IT Security Analyst’s role is to provide technology support to the business and end users in a timely manner, provide support for Development Operations Initiatives, develop and contribute to documented processes and Standard operating Procedures (SOP’s) – as well as to help monitor networks for security issues, investigate security breaches and other cyber security incidents, and install security measures and operate software to protect systems and information infrastructure.

This position reports to the Sr. Manager of IT Security, Infrastructure & Operations, is located at the Westlake Village, CA office and requires periodic after-hours on-call support 24 x 7 x 365.

Primary Accountabilities:

• Analyze data trends and identify problem areas, and devise and deliver solutions to enhance the quality of service / security to help prevent future problems / incidents.
• Conduct research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards in support of technology related efforts, and provide regular updates to management.
• Provide Level 3 (L3) technology support to the business and end user issues.
• Monitor and/or respond to IT Security issues such as phishing emails, EDR quarantines and other related operational Cybersecurity issues.
• Coordinate and/or perform hands-on fixes at the desktop and server level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, implementing file backups, addressing malware and virus issues, and configuring systems and applications.
• Monitor and test fixes to ensure problems have been adequately resolved.
• Access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and frequently asked questions resources on the Internet to aid in problem resolution.
• Track and analyze trends in IT Security operational data (e.g. O365, Cisco AMP, etc.).
• Provide after-hours support for regular issues and/or for issue escalations.
• Assist with the development and dissemination of Quick Reference Guides (QRG’s), user guides, work instructions and FAQ lists for end users and colleagues.
• Support users and systems in multiple time zones including Toronto and Paris.
• Other duties as assigned

Education & Certifications:

• High School Diploma with 5+ years of relevant industry experience; or, Associate’s degree with 3 years of experience of relevant industry experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in information Systems / Computer Science or equivalent discipline and 1 year of relevant industry experience preferred.
• Certifications: A+, Network+, Security+ or other certifications preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit and use the computer for extended periods of time; ability to answer phones and use a variety of office equipment; ability to lift 15 pounds and reach overhead.

 Travel Requirements:

• Occasional travel may be required

 Other Requirements/Information:

• Normal business hours are 8:30am to 5:30pm (NOTE: work shift/time may be shifted ad-hoc as needed by I.T. Management to meet the needs of the business).
• After-Hours support as needed to meet business demand, 24 x 7 x 365.
• Requires on-call on a rotational periodic basis for regular support and to handle escalations and/or IT Security Incidents.

• Demonstrated progressive experience in technology, with a willingness to learn new concepts and the ability to absorb information quickly:

• Strong documentation and technical writing skills:
• Working knowledge of ServiceNow, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint, and be able to perform L2 data analytics in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, charts, etc.):
• Good understanding of the installation of all corporate-supported applications (SAP, I2, TPM, etc.):
• Baseline understanding of the installation of all corporate-supported application (SAP, I2, TPM, etc.):
• Good understanding and experience with user management using Active Directory and/or an industry-standard Management tool like SailPoint, OKTA or other similar tools:
• Experience with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) and its implementation in Microsoft excel a plus:
• Complete understanding of the ITIL framework and experienced implementing the ITIL framework:
• L1-L2 understanding of the NIST Security Framework; L1-L2 skill level in IT Security fundamentals:
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment:
• Understanding of IT Security fundamentals related to IT Operations:
• Proficiency with O365 administration and management:
• Proficiency in attended and unattended system imaging.
• Basic ability to design and update SharePoint sites and pages.
• In-depth knowledge of PC/Server hardware and operating systems
