Overview:

In this hands-on role as Director of Human Resources, you will work closely with the senior management team for this key and growing business unit. You will act as a strategic business partner in the execution of human resources (HR) programs and policies, including but not limited to talent selection and management, employee relations, employee development, change management and performance management. You will also provide visible HR leadership to multiple locations in various states through your interaction with all levels of employees and management within the business. Our service delivery model is an HR Business Partner working closely with Corporate Centers of Expertise.  You can expect up to 25% domestic travel based on the need.

Performance objectives:

• Talent:Lead the Talent Management activities of the Cyber Professional Lines (CPL) Business Unit, including selection, annual talent reviews, and succession planning activities for all areas of the organization.
• Employee Relations:Establish good working relationships with managers and employees with both the corporate and regional offices.  Address issues and concerns promptly, and conduct investigations to resolve conflicts when necessary.
• Employment Development:Partner with managers and Corporate HR Learning and Development to identify development opportunities and training programs to ensure growth opportunities for employees.
• Workforce Planning:Assist with the continual process to align staffing needs to meet current and future organizational objectives.
• Performance Management:Work collaboratively with managers towards achieving employee’s individual goals and objectives, which includes managing the performance review process, performance improvement, and professional development plans.
• HR Data Analysis:Analyze complex HR data such as turnover trends and compensation equity and propose strategies to breach the gap between actual and desired organizational performance.
• TeamManagement: Manage, direct, and set the strategy for your direct reports – the CPL HR team.  Responsible for their continued performance, development, and growth. 

Early Deliverables Include:

• Quickly familiarize yourself withCPL and TMHCC’s business and HR policies and procedures to include Employee Handbook, business policies, and internal practices.
• Learn the business unit’sCEO & President’s expectations regarding Human Resources support to this business.
• Meet theCPL business unit and regional office leaders to gain an overview of current practices and operations Taking a consultative and strategic approach, learn the following:
  • Understand their department’s role in the organization
  • Identify their most significant HR concerns and challenges
  • Obtain their department head’s expectations from HR
  • Establish a timetable for next steps
• Quickly take charge of the business unit’s talent acquisition activities.
• Report tothe Head of Human Resources – West Region, matrixed into the Business Unit CEO.
